After the Jets benched young QB Geno Smith and turned to Michael Vick, time was ticking on Smith's NFL career. Rotoworld now reports that Geno Smith could be cut at the end of the season as GM John Idzik, the man that drafted Smith, could lose his job as well.

However, many teams could take a flier on Smith. Just look at Mark Sanchez with the Eagles right now. The Jets' offense is one that often limits the best of athletes. Smith and Tavon Austin were nearly unstoppable for a couple years at West Virginia. Maybe a return to a friendly offense that allows both to thrive could be in the works.
In fact, maybe it is Smith that goes to St. Louis so that he can work with Austin once more. He'll have to turn things around in order to regain respect in the league, as his 19-31 TD-INT ratio in 24 starts won't cut it anywhere.
